I don’t normally write reviews but I felt this warranted one. I was unsure as a first time user but after the first use … I am sold. It was easy to warm (i used the microwave) easy to apply, easy to remove. Quick, relatively painless and no clean up.
I read the directions on how to apply the wax and how to remove. No complaints. Excellent product !! I am so glad I attempted this at home!

This product WORKS! But it does take some practice and many trials to figure out what works for you. After reading some reviews and the instructions that came with it, I found that using a thin but EVEN layer works best for me, then to remove, don’t use the wax itself to remove. Your body is radiating heat so the wax just gets stickier, which makes it impossible to remove. My trick, is to use a wet towel (similar to using waxing strips as some other reviews have recommended to use) and put the towel on top of the wax, and pat it in for 10-15 seconds. Then remove and it should take all the wax off! Don’t worry, your towels won’t be ruined, it’s sugar wax so I just run my towels under water, or leave them in the shower and eventually the water dissolves away all the sugar wax. But the KEY is that wet towel! That’s the only way I remove the wax off my body. Granted that means you can’t reuse the wax on other parts, but that’s okay for me. I also love using this because I notice my hair growth coming back less and when it does come back, it comes back thinner! I love this for my under arms! I bought the hard version as well, but found that for me, medium works best. Hard pulls a bit much, leaving my underarms more agitated. I also apply with my hands, even though some suggest to use gloves. The wax is already so sticky to my hands, I can’t imagine the mess I’d be in if I were to use gloves.

Okay I’ve used this stuff for quite a while at this point. Sugaring takes a lot of practice to get used to, and drying powder (I use baby powder) is ESSENTIAL, but once you get the hang of it it’s much better than any other hair removal method I’ve found. My underarm and bikini area skin is so so sensitive, so I can only shave those areas once every 4 or 5 days. Super inconvenient, especially in the summer! I was fed up with irritated, bleeding skin, so I broke down and tried waxing. Waxing strips were a NIGHTMARE and I couldn’t find any that were effective on the dark hair in those sensitive areas. Waxing in the salon is immensely painful, expensive, and still left me bleeding. Sugaring it is, then. This stuff is way less painful than hard bead wax and about as effective as a salon experience once you get good at it. It’s not nearly as messy as any other waxing method either!

A couple of downsides: this stuff will only work in very particular conditions. If it’s too hot, too cold, too humid etc. it just won’t work. My house was a bit cooler this winter and I couldn’t use it at all, even trying to warm it up. Even in the right conditions, the chunk of wax you’re using will get gradually warmer until it just sticks to your skin, so you have to know exactly when to stop using that piece of wax or it gets messy. Also it is almost impossible to get this stuff out of the container.

Not very easy to use. I ordered the medium. It came in today so I obviously tried it right away. Took me about 2 hours to wax both legs. First I tried with nitrile gloves as it says in the instructions to use. It stuck to the gloves so bad I ended up aborting that and just straight used my hands. The product sticks to EVERYTHING!!! I first started out with a big glop which was a horrible idea. By the end of it I was using a ball roughly the size of a quarter. It gets warm extremely quickly on your skin. When it starts turning white stop and throw that piece away (good luck because by this point it’s soooo sticky I had to scrap it off my fingers using the side of my trash can). But it definitely gets the hair. Still hurts because obviously you’re ripping your hair out. I don’t think it hurts any less than going to a professional. I’ve read so many positive reviews about sugar waxing and after this experience I think I’ll just keep paying a professional to do it.

This works great, once I learned what I was doing. The directions included are not very clear so I went looking up different videos on YouTube, and the actual brands website for help. First time when I tried to use this it was really stiff so I heated it up as the directions said by 5 seconds, well it was too warm for me to pick up (thick syrup like consistency) and pull the hairs. Well after putting in the fridge a bit to cool it worked way better but I’ve noticed it’s really hard to get out of the container cold and apparently the surface of my body heats it up pretty quickly that it becomes too sticky way too quick. Which the company site does say that rookies to sugar wax typically make the mistake of buying softer waxes thinking it’ll be easier to use, that actually harder waxes are easier. I believe it. I thought I was doing good by buying the medium myself. Well lesson learned I will get the harder one next time. Now some reviews mentioned a rash, doing further research on sugar waxing that could be caused by allergic reaction but also red rash like bumps can be caused from improper tearing/flicking or even cause light bruising. This also depends on the area you’re waxing, and the sensitivity of your skin. On my calves I didn’t have an issue with this but I did a little on my thighs. So for the newbies like me make sure you are pulling parallel to your skin and tightening the area as u pull to prevent this and use a cooling spray or simply put ice on the irritated area ASAP to help. From what I saw online this company sells a cooling mist and other products for this reason. Also I didn’t use powder first which would’ve probably helped with the bruising issue too. Also from my research evidently if you’re on or about to be on your period that could cause your skin to be more sensitive too and be the reason for the irritation/bruising.

Basically the wax is great and does it’s job but new sugar waxers should most likely get the hard one not medium, take a few trial and error attempts at what works best for u, & be careful with how you’re tearing/pulling the wax. Best of luck! I figured it out & so can you! 🙂
