I use both the seeds and the soft gels ( the two products smell and taste the same). As a medicinal clinical herbalist, I have heard many people state that “herbs and botanicals don’t work”. Well the whole statement is “Herbs and botanicals don’t work-if you don’t take them.” Black cumin has stood the test of time (for at least 5000 years) as both a culinary herb and as a medicinal herb. In medicinal herbology, there are herbs meant to be taken for short periods (acute conditions) and herbs that are suggested for long term-daily-use (chronic conditions). I would offer that this is a gentle, but very effective herb and should be taken daily for best benefits. Shipping was fast. I got my order three days before it was projected to arrive. I’ve been taking the black cumin see oil pills for almost three weeks now. As with anything, there is a good part and a bad part. For the good part, I have noticed that I’ve been feeling a little better in general and a little increase in energy. Now for the bad part. The only bad parts to this pill is the smell and the taste. But I suppose it’s a lot better than taking the actual oil itself. When you open the bottle you’re hit with a strong smell. The pills also taste strongly of the smell. It took me a day or two to figure out exactly what they smelled like. The smell of the pills reminds me of the old metal pencil sharpeners full of pencil shavings. Now, I can’t tell you what pencil shavings taste like, but I’m pretty sure this is close to what they would taste like. Lol. I am still going to keep taking them though.

I purchased this problem because I read that it helps reduce kratom tolerance and is good for hair and nails. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in those things, but the real sorcery is the PMS relief I had no idea it provided! I usually spend two days each month in crippling pain, emotional and dealing with an exorbitant amount of the gross stuff I’ll spare the details of here. Imagine my surprise when that time arrived unnoticed because all of the pain, emotional absurdity and aforementioned gross stuff was nearly non-existent. I also notice a huge reduction in morning stiffness and muscle tightness from exercise. I don’t know how I lived without this magic little pill!

Especially since I noticed on the brand I was taking in their capsule form, even if I took 2 capsules a day I was not getting the same amount as I would had I been taking the actual oil. BUT…I just couldn’t stand the taste of the oil and the burps after it anymore. Then I found THESE capsules. I can take 1 capsule a day and it works even better than the 2 tsp I took of the pure oil WITHOUT the pungent taste and WITHOUT the horrible burps. ONE CAPSULE!!!! I feel just as amazing as I did if not better, than when I took that oil. SO thrilled I found this stuff!!
