I took this for about a month, dosing at about 2 teaspoons daily. My cholesterol shot way into the 220s. I’ve stopped this immediately, as did my daughter inlaw, who experienced the same thing. This side effect isn’t mentioned anywhere. Buyer beware! UPDATE: My apologies. I was wrong. I had assumed my cholesterol was already down previously, but my doctor assured me that it had been pretty high 5 years ago, and that it naturally increases with age. She estimated the daily dosage of coconut oil might contribute to a 1% increase in my cholesterol.

Great oil. No taste. My husband uses it every day. However, beware the description. At the top it says you get 32 oz. Only as you get further in does it say you only get 16 oz. Still a better price than we were getting at the grocery store.

My sleep drastically worsened with this product. I took probably four servings per day in the morning (about 10am) and within four days I couldn’t sleep more than three hours per night. My internet research didn’t provide much insight into why, but I suspect my particular circumstances (poor health or ketogenic diet) may have contributed because few others mentioned insomnia. While I do feel more energetic and I think I lost a few pounds, I’m not functional enough without sleep to continue it. Maybe in a month I’ll try again with a less potent dose.
