I ordered two of these, one for ourselves, and one as a gift. The gift recipient was thrilled, and very much enjoyed theirs. We are partway through the tin we received, and also enjoying it. Baklava can sometimes be tooth achingly sweet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this brand as not. Still sweet, but the other flavours came through so much better without the excess. Crisp, fresh, delightful. Will order again!

So on a whim, I decided to order organic tea from PUKKA and
a tin of MUGHE Gourmet assorted baklava. First I sent both to my sister in Germany…. without any indication who sent it . . . then I decided I would send the same things to my cousin in Canada (my cousin is very close to my sister, and they speak frequently, I figured they would share their puzzlement as to who
sent the goodies! Then I sent one to a family friend in France. . . and the rumor mill got going in earnest. It was fun: BUT, the upshot was that they all LOVED Mughe’s balkava. So I thought… hmmmm…. I want to try it… and I ordered the same combo (tea and baklava) for myself, and WOW…. It is delicious! It is nothing like baklava I had eaten before. Most often it is very gooey, inedibly sweet, and just feels like a cannonball in your stomach… But, I’ve never had this kind of baklava –it’s dry, nutty, with a slight crispiness to the pasty… and the fillings they use are various –including almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios..
mostly ground up, but some whole as well. It’s a really great product and received great “reviews” from all the friends and relatives I sent them to… (yes, after I sent them out to those first three recipients, I just kept going and ultimately sent out about 9 or 10 combo tea and baklava gifts. It was a lot of fun.

etwas teuer aber der geschmack rechtfertigt jeden cent gerne wieder

Die Lieferung kam leider schlecht verpackt an. Der Behälter war in sage und schreibe 3 verschiedenen Plastikverpackungen verpackt, was ich nicht sehr umweltfreundlich finde. Die Dose wurde außerdem in dem schlecht gepolsterten Umschlag beim Versand beschädigt, weswegen sie sich nur noch mit Gewalt öffnen lässt.
Das Baklava an sich ist ok, schmeckt aber eher trocken, obwohl es im März produziert wurde.
Ich würde es für den Preis nicht mehr kaufen.

Das Baklava ist sehr frisch und nicht wie andere Sorten, extrem süß und klebrig. Mit gefällt das sehr gut und ich werde gerne wieder bestellen. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und gut verpackt.

Leider finde ich meinen früheren Lieferanten bei Amazon nicht mehr. Dieser hier ist für die gebotene Qualität recht teuer. Ware recht süss!
