Review for Musk Tahara. This is pretty strong upon application. The opening has some bitter notes, and I catch rose, incense and powder in the beginning. It dries down to a warm baby powder scent with very little bitterness. It reminds me of the old school baby powder scent which was softer than the current fragrance they use. Chalky, dusty and powdery but warm, feminine and soft. The oil is really thick and very scented so you don’t need very much and it’s staying power is pretty good. I used a bit before bed and it was gone in the morning but it would likely last if you used more. The bottle is pretty cute and it has a plastic dabber with a gold cap to put over it. I might use it for layering possibly.

This perfume has a lovely but mild, musky, slightly floral and powdery scent. I’m not sure that I smell vanilla notes. It’s not an overpowering scent if you use just a little, placing a “dab” on your finger first with the applicator tip, then applying it to your desired pressure points with your finger. A little goes a long way, so the size of the bottle is deceptive and probably sufficient to last quite a while. It’s surprisingly thick for perfume oil; however, they do describe it as a creamy lotion. I don’t care for the sticky texture, but if applying it with your finger, it seems to be less tacky and will dry after a short time. The scent does last for many hours. My applicator stick was separate from the bottle cap (as pictured), but I would have preferred if the applicator stick were attached to the underside of the cap. The item is being sold as an inexpensive small gift or party favor for weddings, parties, and baby showers. It would be appropriate as a little take-home “thank you” gift, but the bottle is simply too small to give as a regular gift. My husband, who can barely smell anything, could smell it on me when standing a distance away. That is saying a lot! (They also give you a small sample of their Pink Musk scent. It smells like rose and florals.)
