I never new the bottle was this small I thought it would be the same size given on the picture I was excited to get oil that would last for some time! Until I opened it. And people say never judge a book by its cover 😂. I went to my moms house and she asked why does my daughters hair smell like cigarettes lol I proceeded to tell her it’s the oil I put in her hair. My advice to you is to mix it with another scented oil. But other then that my babies hair is almost to the center of her back for her age (5m) it’s worth it.

Some say it does smell like cigarettes but I personally don’t mind. It isn’t overwhelming unless you don’t like that smell, then you can put some sweet essential oils or something. For me I have peach handlotiom I put on my hands afterwards and it distracts from the smell. So far it seems good, well-packaged and came with a cap you can switch out for a pump after opening. Good amount for the price rather than in store.

A Jamaican friend i have know for over twenty years recommended this for psoriasis. I have it in my scalp and ears. This is better than the creams my dermatologist prescribed. It has a burning smell from the manufacturing of the liquid but that is soon dissolved by the shampoo when i wash my hair or soap on my arms and legs. I highly recommend this now too. It gets rid of the white spots of psoriasis and more importantly the cruel itch.

I think the water is harsh where I live because my hair is…not doing so well. I apply this to my hairline and the ends of my hair at day/night/before showers. During the daytime, since it looks a little too greasy, I only apply a little and put translucent powder over it. It takes a while to see the effects, but my hair did improve.

I bought this oil to use as a carrier oil (an oil used to dilute essential oils before they are applied to the skin) in doing rosemary treatments to my hair and scalp. This is a great product and the value for money is exceptional. It comes in a huge bottle and would definitely last a good amount of time depending on how often you use it. While I think this product would work for most people, it did not work for me.
I have thinning, very fine hair and this oil is thick. I had to use a large amount of the oil in my hair since it does not spread easily, which did not help with the texture of my hair. The smell is also pretty strong, but not necessarily bad. If you have thicker hair or more textured strands, I think this oil would work great as a carrier oil, but since I do not fit that category, it did not work well for me. If you have thin hair and fine strands, I may recommend a thinner carrier oil like jojoba or argan oil.
I ended up gifting this oil to my sister who has coarse, thick, curly hair and she absolutely loves it!

I actually used this for some peeling skin from a sun burn. It moisturized the spot and made getting the peeling skin easy to remove.
I also used this oil for a sore knee from the gym. It brought down the swelling and healed the knee quicker than I thought. This oil sits on my bathroom counter waiting for its next use.

Its a good thing I’ve been using castor oil all my life thus understand what is it and the reason for the scent! Had I have read the reviews and not know anything I would have been put off. People,!!! It’s Castor oil it’s supposed to smell some what smokey due to the roasting of the beans which has a positive impact on the results the longer they are roasted for! It does NOT smell like cigarettes, it smells like CASTOR OIL (woody, subtabtly coal like and rustic scent) which happens to be amazing at treating the scalp and growing your hair! The negative reviews are so exaggerated.!!!! This isn’t even the extra dark Castor and you guys are complaining about the scent. Do us all a favour and do your research before putting your negative words on someone’s product. Finally, for those of you that are actually looking for a natural / organic way to grow your hair and maintain a healthy scalp, the results will never lie! No, the scent isn’t sweet and fruity but it’s NOT SUPPOSED TO BE!

I noticed a difference in my bald patch and lashes within a week. It does smell like cigarettes which is expected from roasted Jamaican black castor oil. I would recommend mixing it with other essential oils as the oil is very stick and thick on the scalp.
