It adds a nice shine to dry hair but it’s not as conditioning as castor oil. I’m trying out Jamaican castor oil leave in conditioning and detangling creme and find it works better. Side note: I’m not sure why they need to add Yellow #5 and Red #4 to this product. It just seems unnecessary. I don’t need that kind of crap in my hair or absorbed by my body.

I have 3B hair and use several Crème of Nature products for my natural hairstyle. When I was having trouble finding the curl milk, I bought this hair lotion because it featured similar benefits to the curl milk. They also seemed to have the same ingredients, except the curl milk stated it had NO mineral oil, while the hair lotion highlighted that it had mineral oil. I don’t know if that is a factor, but I find the curl milk better for curl definition; however, the lotion is mild enough to use every day, and it makes my hair feel nourished.
