It’s a good body cream and makes skin feels soft, but (for me), it isnt a replacement for Josie Maran body butter. The smell and texture aren’t quite as natural in my opinion. This one smells fine, but Josie Maran’s smells a lot better in my opinion. Also, the texture of this isn’t quite as smooth and creamy. It is just a tad bit more “lotion-y” feeling when applying. It’s still a great product, and I will use it. I doubt that I would buy it again, though.

I have been buying Josie Maran for years my husband uses it on his dry skin as well but with us both using it this get very pricey. It’s almost $40 on QVC with S/H plus tax and $35 on Amazon for the same size. So, we had to try this and we love it, it smells great it’s like a touch of a citrus scent, very creamy too. Hey, if I can save $30 and get the same results then I’m a customer life.

So far, after one day of use, I really like this product. I had been Josie Maran’s whipped argan oil in Sweet Cranberry and I was in love with that but had to switch to something more affordable. This product is similar in texture although slightly thicker than Josie Maran’s. The scent, which was not in the description, is very light and reminds me of grapefruit. I have a problem with strong scents and can’t use anything flowery or highly perfumed. This is very pleasant and subtle. It leaves my skin very soft and is actually slightly less greasy than Josie’s. I am not sure yet if it compares to the long term benefits of Josie’s. After using Josie’s whipped argan oil my skin was incredible. I can’t even describe it. I am hoping this will do the same for my skin and I have high hopes.

The product seems like it would be great…smoothes into skin easily, smells great, initially my reaction was quite positive. About thirty to forty five minutes later, my skin was burning and breaking out in hives. I don’t know what caused it. The plain argan oil for my fave didn’t ever have this effect, but the body butter made my skin burn. I had to run to get into the shower and rinse all exposed stead and take benadryl. I can’t give this product a bad reviews, but I also can’t give it a five star review. I hope that no one else has this experience, but I did feel the need to let those of you who may have sensitive skin or are worried about these products causing a reaction know about this. Hopefully, most of y’all have wonderful experiences and mine was a fluke. Best wishes to all!

I have only been using this cream for awhile, but the results I have gotten has been wonderful.. I use it daily, both morning and night.. I use it as a body cream on my body and feet, and I use it at nighttime when I go to bed as a moisterizing cream. Then the next morning I just wash it off, and reapply it to my face during the day for extra protection. I saw it on another site but for the same cream Amazon was cheaper.. This cream is very pleasant and does not leave an unpleasant smell.. I would recommend this to anyone

I was hesitant about this purchase due to the comments about the scent. I have the Sweet Citrus of the Josie Maran brand and LOVE it. I ordered it anyway, as it was 1/3 the price of JM. Much to my surprise, I really like the scent. Probably as much, if not more than the JM Sweet Citrus. I didn’t feel it was overpowering as some noted. It feels creamy and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling afterward either. I will definitely purchase again as I have found something reasonably priced that I can apply liberally, unlike the JM-due to the cost.

This body butter is the BEST! I am a regular at Bath & Body Works and I can’t even tell you how many lotions, creams, and body butters I have from there. I also have body butter from The Body Shop and various other places. I’ve had dry skin my whole life. This is the best product I have found in 40 years! It goes on silky smooth, lightweight, not at all greasy, but yet it somehow manages to moisturize my skin. It feels like a deep penatrating moisturizer. Not to mention the smell is amazing! If I could find a perfume with that smell, I would stock up! I can’t pinpoint what it is, sometimes I think I smell almond, other times I think I smell cherry and other times licorice. Honestly I could be wrong about all 3, it just smells wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has dry skin, who wants a great smelling body butter or someone who has normal skin who wants to try it out. Give it a try!
