Origin: La Mosquitia, Honduras Batana Oil is a rare oil because the extraction process is very labor intensive and has to be done almost entirely manually. The fruits are first boiled, then pounded to remove the orange outer shell, and then extracting the nuts. The nuts are then washed, sun-dried and cracked using a stone to release the kernel. Finally, the kernels are cooked over fire to extract the oil. The hot oil cools down to yield a smooth brown solid-paste at room temperature. Apply Maméla batana oil to your scalp and gently massage, pulling excess Batana oil from the roots to the ends of your hair. Cover your hair with a cap for 20-30 mins. Rinse thoroughly. Great product so far so good. This one is better than another brand I purchased in the past. Delivered with care, color is rich brown and well as for the smell it is a natural distinct smell but I am not purchasing for the smell but the powerful benefits so It’s not bothering me at all. I’ll recommend

My family & I have been using batana for as long as I can remember (i’m from Honduras) trying to find a good quality-non mixed batana has been quite a challenge 🤦🏽♀️ This one got to me fast, it was well packaged and I was so so happy to see, feel and smell the batana I used back home ! Dark brown color and that infamous earthy kinda burnt coffee smell lol ! I’m a customer for life ! 😀

The container spilled during shipping, the scent is very strong, do not leave on all day unless you intend to stay home. According to the instructions, you can put on prior to showering and leave on while using a cap, I believe it says for 30 minutes before washing. I do not know how effective this is, too soon to tell, would I buy it again? I am leaning towards no, the scent is too strong for me, plus it is an oil, it will get on anything you put your head on, including a hat, cap!

Even though I have very short hair, I was having hair loss. I would rub my head over the sink and hair would just fall to the sink. I started using this and it happens no more! I’m not noticing whether the hair lost is growing back but I’m definitely not losing any anymore. thank you.

Easy to apply, personally I like the smell, I used it everyday and works as a gel too. We will see if it works for growth hair
